Welcome to
our Partnership
The
Wyoming Valley Wellness Trails Partnership is a collaboration to
promote active living in our Pennsylvania community:
the cities, towns and countryside along the Susquehanna River from
Shickshinny to the City of Pittston.
Active
living is a lifestyle that restores the daily physical activity
engineered out of our lives by our reliance on cars and conveniences.
Our efforts are linked to a developing regional trail network. Partnership
members include local trail associations, health systems, and organizations
aiming to revitalize cities and improve the natural and built environment.
Move
away from a sedentary lifestyle, or find more ways to increase your
daily physical activity.
Active Living is daily movement for everyone.

Active Living and the
Environment
Our
built environment and our social environment are key components in
our ability to get and stay active. The Wyoming Valley Wellness Trails
Partnership is one of 25 community partnerships that have received
a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to promote Active
Living by Design: changes in the environment to support active living.
Wyoming Valley Trails
The
Wyoming Valley area is poised to add about 50 miles of new trails.
These facilities will be pathways that foster human-powered movement
throughout the Valley, for recreation, socialization and work. They
are an important part of re-engineering physical activity into our
lives.
Partners
The
